Landlord Law Conference 2014 - #lllconf

Tags: , , ,

Last month the Tenancy Deposit Scheme sponsored the Landlord Law Conference, giving landlords and letting agents expert advice in the legal side of lettings. Host Tessa Shepperson sums up the event.

The annual Landlord Law Conference  which took place in Suffolk last month which was sponsored by TDS (to whom we are enormously grateful), is fast receding into the past as life moves on.

It was a lovely event.  Everyone seemed to enjoy the talks, and we had some great sponsors and exhibitors for delegates to talk to during the breaks.

However it may be over, but it is also frozen in time – the Conference is such a good  educational event that we had it filmed, so we can use the film footage in our online training courses.  This means that even those who were unable to attend can take advantage of it.

Its my task to deal with this - and I am now in the process of creating a ‘Conference Course’ which will feature all of the talks, and the speaker notes, and their powerpoints.  It will also have multiple choice quizzes on the content allowing you to earn up to four hours CPD.

Hopefully this should be online in the next week or so.  Then a wider audience will be able to see the excellent talks – for example from TDS Head of Adjudication Mike Morgan and David Smith of Anthony Gold on tenancy  deposits and from Timothy Waitt (also from Anthony Gold)  on damp and condensation issues in rented property.

In the meantime we have some excellent photos of the event here  taken by our photographer Phil Smithies and a short video of the event which you can see below and see on You Tube here!  Next year's conference, by the way, will be on 14 April 2015 in Cambridge.

If you are interested in finding out when the Conference Course goes live or want to know about some of our other events, please sign up to go on our mailing list here.
