Dealing with TDSRA disputes under TDS rules

Whilst we continue to receive a growing volume of deposit disputes, those stemming from the Tenancy Deposit Scheme for Regulated Agents (TDSRA) are declining as the tenancies it covered are coming to an end. Their replacements are protected by the statutory Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS), and the Board of The Dispute Service Limited has decided that henceforth all deposit disputes should be dealt with under the rules of TDS. Property industry unites to launch ‘best practice’ Code for the Private Rented Sector

Seventeen leading property organisations have today launched a new Code to drive up standards and quality in the Private Rented Sector (PRS) in response to too many privately rented homes in the UK failing to meet the ‘English Housing Survey’ standards.
